St Paul’s Cathedral has such an emotional pull for Londoners. During the Second World War, its survival encouraged Londoners to believe they too would survive.

The dome is much bigger on the outside than on the inside. Christopher Wren wanted it to be a landmark. I’d say he succeeded.
