Fair Weather for Fair Maids

After a damp and cool few days, the weather is set fair for the weekend, just in time for Fair Maids, Feminists and Philanthropists, a walk in north Southwark featuring women. Some of the names will be familiar, others have somehow dropped from sight, although their work and influence lives on. Some were infamous, others famous.

Even if you think you know this patch of London between Southwark tube and Borough High Street, I’m willing to bet you’ll learn something new.
Join me this Saturday, 1st June at 10.45 outside Southwark station for a two hour guided walk.
The cost is just £9, or £7 for over 65s and full-time students.
You’ll be able to recognise me as I shall be wearing my Blue Badge, and holding some London Walks leaflets.

  1. Hope you get a good turn out for this – we did enjoy it even in lower degrees of temperature. And glad to see you back at the blog/work. One worried with your long silence so much we had to take extreme measures. May the return to ” new normal” be easy for you.

    • Thanks Kathy. The forecast is kind, so hopefully we shall be a jolly crew. 🙂
New normal is harder to deal with…
