Done Shopping, Come Roaming

Sunday, a day of rest. Do you really want to toiling round a hot shopping centre when you could be Roaming by the River or doing the London Wall Walk with me?

The river is the Thames, the reason why London exists. This walk is subtitled Fish and Ships which probably explains all you need to know.
The Romans built the first wall, more as a status symbol than for defensive purposes, and we cross the City from East to West within its boundaries.

It’s not a hard choice now is it?

Roaming by the River starts at 10.45 outside Monument tube, and the London Wall Walk kicks off at 2.30 outside Tower Hill tube. You can even do both (now there’s a thought!) and still have time for lunch.

The cost is £9 per adult, £7 concessions for each walk.

  1. Wall Walk – best walk by the best guide on LW. Hoping one day to sample the Fish and Ships. And the weather is positively toasty – if only I had known in advance.
