St John’s Cyclists

I was outside St Paul’s this morning, waiting for a family who had booked a guided tour of the cathedral and its environs with me, when three chaps rode up on their bikes.

They chatted a while, and then asked me to take a picture. I complied and asked them what the occasion was.

St John’s Cyclists

Cycling to Amsterdam, they said. Then to Brussels, onto Dunkirk and back to London.

They are doing this for fun, but apparently they have a Just Giving page, and have done trips to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. They sound like all round good eggs, and are volunteers with the St John’s Ambulance Cycle Response Unit.

If you want to follow their progress on this trip, and find out about the other work they do, you can follow them on twitter @sjalondoncru. I am about to sign up and follow them.
