Autumn Public Walks 21st to 27th November

Autumn; what a splendidly spiffing time to go on a guided walk.

Tonight I can offer you a chilly evening enlivened by Along the Thames an entertaining pub walk with fabulous views of the City, and the prospect of mulled wine.

Meet outside Blackfriars tube station for 7pm.

Monday 24th November, two walks of must visit places for anyone coming to London.P1140858

In the morning it’s Greenwich, travelling there by boat on the Thames, and finishing just in time for a lunch in one of Greenwich’s many eateries. Meeting at Tower Hill, by the Tramcar coffee stop for 10.30.

After lunch, I shall be guiding the highlights of one of the most celebrated museums in the world – the British Museum*, or BM, as it is familiarly known. Meet me outside Holborn tube on Kingsway for 2.15.

Bermondsey is the venue for Thursday’s Hidden Village walk. Once the home of dockers and leather workers, Bermondsey has changed enormously in the last decade, and is now one of the most celebrated foodie spots in the capital. Meet me at Tower Hill tube, by the tRamshed coffee stop, for 10.30.

All walks cost £9, £7 for over 65s and full-time students, plus entry and travel fees where applicable.

*Entry to the museum is free.
