Walks Week Commencing 8th December 2014; Stonehenge, Salisbury, British Museum, Bermondsey for Starters

Wow, it is no time at all until Christmas.

If you are wondering what to do on Boxing Day, how about a City walk? Walk off the turkey and the Christmas pud with this special walk. There are limited places, so book in advance. Click here for details.

Those of you who joined me yesterday for the Walworth walk may have completed your Christmas shopping away from the crowds at the artists’ open studios.

If you missed it, make a note in your diary for next year.

The British Museum is a pretty good spot for retail therapy too. There are several shops, catering to all tastes and budgets. I am guiding there tomorrow afternoon. Meet me outside Holborn tube for 2.15.

On Thursday Hidden Village will atke you away from the crowds and still give shopping possibilities for those who want them. Parts of Bermondsey are seriously chichi these days. Meet me outside Tower Hill tube at the Tram Coffee stop for 10.30.

If you haven’t organised your work Chrsitmas do, how about a walk with pub orv two thrown in? Contact me via the comments box and I shall be happy to oblige.

Saturday is Salisbury and Stonehenge, a day away from the Smoke, and a chance to
explore outside London. We’ll meet at Waterloo station by the main ticket office for 8.45. No passport necessary.

  1. Arrgh. I was just complaining to the spouse about our not being in London this year and now you have made it even more regrettable. Would virtual drooling at the offerings be allowed?
