Walks for Christmas Week: Greenwich and the City

With Christmas Day on Thursday, London is swathed in lights and tinsel, fake snow and genuine bonhomie.
Greenwich on Monday morning is just the best place to avoid those last minute frantic shoppers and to enjoy the little shops, the markets, and of course the forty something pubs. Nothing like some mulled wine to warm the toes and heart.

We travel the Royal way, which is to say on the river. Not quite a Royal Barge, but there is hot chocolate for sale on board.
Meet me outside Tower Hill Tramshed for 10.30. The walk costs £9, plus £5 for the boat travel.

On 26th, Boxing Day, join me at 11 by St Paul’s tube exit 2, for a Special (yet gentle) Walk Around the City and earn yourself the right to some more mince pies. You’ll need to book in advance, and Early Bird tickets, available until tomorrow evening, cost just £10. After that there will be standard tickets for £15. You’ll find the details here, but do contact me if you want to find out more.

I look forward to seeing you.

Merry Christmas!

  1. Tempt me, will you? Clement-ish weather and a City walk. So sorry I am stuck where I am for the holidays. Hope you have a good turn-out for what should be an excellent walk.
