Walking the Elephant, Sunday 10th May

The Elephant and Castle: investment opportunity or a long overlooked neighbourhood just south of the river?

The Elephant is changing. Soon even the much derided shopping centre, once voted by Time Out readers as the ugliest building in London, will be gone. bUt some things will remain among the shiny new buildings of stell and glass.

On Sunday I’ll be walking the Elephant, looking at the what lies behind the roundabouts, the results of previous regenerations, the communities that make up the neighbourhood.

We’ll start outside the Bakerloo line exit on London Road by the London South Bank University at 10.45am.

It costs £10, or £8 for over 65s and full-time students, to join the walk.
