Denmark Hill and Camberwell

Denmark Hill and Camberwell are adjoining neighbourhoods in South London. Once an area known for market gardening, and royal hunting grounds, it has now been extensively built on. But there are secret places behind the scenes, and the not-at-all-secret jewel that is Ruskin Park.

  1. We enjoyed this walk in real life a few years ago. This peek into Local London brought the scenery from the walk vividly back to mind. Looking forward to more!

    1. I think it is a fascinating area, and you can still trace the old village became it became part of the everspreading reach of London.
